Mini Dolls by Brand - 7.5" Moni Doll (1979)

Moni dolls were produced by a Swiss company called Uranium in 1979. Like Sasha dolls they have tan skin and closed mouth expression. They were a copy of the Sasha doll which caused Sasha Morgenthaler family to file a complaint which put a stop to production.

Both boy and girl dolls were made, blonde and brunette along with several extra outfits.

You can find these dolls and clothing on ebay from time to time.

*NEWS* Mini BEFOREVER Addy First Look

April received her new BEFOREVER Addy and shares photos with us.
 ******
I just wanted to share with you my mini Addy who arrived in Australia today (ordered through Book Depository last week).

The characters full name is on the box, and the book is a much thinner paperback compared to the previous quality.

New hairstyle and face, and very glossy hair compared to the previous mini Addy.

My daughter just noticed that mini Addy has a hard plastic body! We are not sure if we like the plastic body- my 5 year old instantly did not like it because she said the dolls would not be cuddly anymore.

And we compared the texture of her hair to the 25th Anniversary Addy-very BIG difference!
The new one also has a larger head.

*****

Thank you April for giving us a first look at BF Addy.

Samantha & Nellie Ready for BEFOREVER Launch

My dolls are all dressed in their meet outfits prepared and waiting for the LAUNCH of Beforever.

Here's a peek at Nellie tidying up her sewing center.

Samantha's been having trouble sleeping because she is so anxious for the launch. Even though we have a sneak peek at the new Samantha, she is excited that she will be getting a new version of her meet dress.

Make Mini Samantha's Bed (Using Straws)

It's rumored at the end of August, Samantha will get a new BEFOREVER bed similar to a half canopy bed. You can make her current brass bed with this tutorial. When you're done with construction, spray paint the entire bed gold.

Don't forget to make a mattress stacking three layers of felt.

Make Samantha's Tam (Sailor Hat)

When Samantha wears her Middy outfit she needs her Sailor hat to go with it.

Because it is so easy to work with I'm suggesting felt, but you can use Cotton fabric if you like.

Supplies:
  • White felt (or white fabric)
  • Navy blue ribbon, thin 1/4"
  • Needle/ thread
  • Tacky glue or fabric glue

Directions:
  1. Cut TWO circles 2.5" - 3" wide on your fabric.
  2. Sew the edges closed.
  3. Cut a slit in the center of one layer, turn the hat right side out.
  4. Glue the ribbon onto the inner edges of the slit, leaving enough extra to tie once on Samantha's head.

Madame Alexander Debuts 7" Minis

Madame Alexander is set to debut TRAVEL FRIENDS PLAY DOLLS - International Collection coming in October.

Painted face with closed mouth expression.

I am a fan of Mme. Alexander, but am not pleased with the lack of details.

These dolls are 7" and will be slighty taller than 6.5" AG and OG minis.

You can see my 5" Mme Alexander mini STORYBOOK dolls HERE.

Madame Alexander, Our Promise
We proudly uphold Madame Alexander’s tradition of quality in design and materials, to create beautiful dolls to love, to play and grow up with.  As she herself said……
