HTM - Mini Hats

  • Foam sheets in various colors (thick kind)
  • Bottle caps to match foam sheets (water, soda)
  • Hot glue
  • Tiny embellishments (cording, ribbon, flowers, beads)
  • Scissors
  • 6 oz tomato paste can

Set the tomato paste can on sheet of foam and trace. Cut inside the trace line so there is no ink on the foam sheet. Next trace the bottle cap in the center of the circle then cut inside the trace line. Finally hot glue the bottle cap over the opening.

Embellish the edge of the brim with beads, yarn or ribbon. Add tiny flowers or beads to the top of the hat for decoration. The possibilities are endless.

For another look:

Hot glue twine on the inside of the bottle cap and tie under your doll's chin - this makes a perfect old fashion pillbox hat.

Let's have a quick peek inside before the doors open!

Megan shows us upstairs where all of the sweets and breads are made fresh daily!

Ashleigh puts out all of the fresh baked goods.

She also makes sure everything remains neat and tidy.

Marianne is in charge of the counter.

Outside is where the trash is put daily.

Everyone is lined up outside to see the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Molly goes straight to the cake table.

"Hello. I'm Samantha!"
"Hi! Welcome to our bakery. I'm Marianne."

"Oh Nellie, this cake looks so delicious!"

"Felicity come and sit over here with me."

"Hi Jack!" Kit calls.
"Oh hi there Kit and Felicity. Wow your cake looks good."

"Um excuse me, I'm Marcus."
"Hi I'm Ashleigh, welcome to our bakery."

"Hi Paul. I'm Marianne, would you like a piece of licorice?"

HTM Mini Kite (Art Project) - Camp Doll Diaries

This week the theme at Camp Doll Diaries is art!

The girls couldn't decide on just one art project so they did two. Earlier in the week they painted their own Camp Doll Diaries drinking mugs, then baked them in the kiln.

At the end of the week the girls made a kite out of popsicle sticks and tissue paper.
