Gazebo Makeover - Samantha's Mini Garden Gazebo

Liberty Towne Park has it's own gazebo. With Samantha's newly released garden gazebo, our original gazebo got a makeover.

It was already painted white and had a wooden floor, all that was needed was a fresh coat of paint on the roof. It was completed in time for Samantha's birthday!

Kit's News Report - 4th of July Parade

Liberty Towne Tatler
by Kit Kittredge

The 4th of July Parade on Snickerdoodle Street was festive and full of color! Miss Victory was there dressed in true patriotic style. Horses dressed in red, white and blue marched along the parade route as spectators waved American flags.
Afterward Madame Mayor gave a wonderful speech at the gazebo in Liberty Park. The days event was catered by Dairy Queen who supplied the residents with plenty of hot dogs, burgers, french fries and any kind of frozen ice cream treat you could imagine. A wonderful time was had by all!

*Liberty Towne Parade!*

Welcome to our 4th of July Celebration!

After the parade, everyone met at Liberty Park where the Mayor made an announcement.

"Thank you dear friends of Liberty Towne for coming out to our special gathering today." Madame Mayor began.

"Let me say the Towne looks so festive. I would like to honor a few key residents for their hard work on making today possible. Thank you to Kirsten and Nellie for decorating the gazebo and Liberty Park."

"I would like to acknowledge Nicki for her hard work in organizing our wonderful parade."

"Last, but not least a special thank you to Molly for overseeing this entire event, without her none of this would be possible."

"Please enjoy your self today. Thank you to Dairy Queen for all of the food. Now let's have more fun!"

"The line begins here dolls for food." Molly explained.

" Are you sure you can carry all of that on your own?" Samantha asked.

"Yes, my friends are waiting over by the gazebo. Thank you."

"Your turn Felicity."

"I think everything was so terrific today." Nellie told Kirsten.

"Yes, I agree."

"Madame Mayor, today was simply wonderful!" Said Kit.

"Oh yes indeed Kit. I think all who were responsible for this event truly outdid them selves."

"I will be sure to report all about it in tomorrow's newspaper."

*Decorating the Gazebo*

Kirsten and Nellie brought a bag of decorations to Liberty Park and began decorating the gazebo.

Kirsten began hanging all of the American flags.

"Are you really going to climb the ladder to the roof?" Nellie asked.

"Yes I have to if I'm going to put the flag at the top."

"Aren't you scared?"

"No, as long as you hold the ladder steady."

"You sure are brave Kirsten!"

"That's it! I got it!"

"You reached the top already??"
"Yes and it looks great!"

*Decorating for the 4th*

Samantha has assigned decorating projects to everyone to help spruce up Snickerdoodle Street in time for the 4th.

Of course Kit will be reporting for the Liberty Tatler, but her first project is to decorate the treehouse.

Samantha calls Molly and Emily over to discuss plans.

"Hi dolls! Thank you for coming over.  Molly since you're the town event planner I wanted to hear what you have set up for the 4th of July."

"We have gone over our list and decided to have Dairy Queen cater the event," Emily explains.

"Yes and we will decorate the gazebo as a central meeting spot." Molly continued.

"Oh that sounds wonderful! And what of the parade?" Samantha asked.

"Yes! I am putting Nicki in charge of that. She has been a little sad since Saige left for camp and this will keep her busy."  Molly added.

"Wonderful plans dolls! I will let the Mayor know when I meet with her later this week." Samantha said.
