DIY - FROZEN Ice Palace

For those of you who are crazy about FROZEN'S Queen Elsa, here is a project for you.

My friend Letische from Dolly's Tea Party created a Frozen Ice Palace using cardboard, blue paint, white metallic paint, cotton balls, plastic snowflakes, icicles, stickers and ornaments.

It's really amazing and inspiring, I just love it. This is a wonderful project to do for the holidays.

She has a VIDEO on how she made this!!

HTM An Enchanted Castle

Your Ever After High dolls need a home, right???

I saw this awesome, easy tutorial!
Let's make one out of cardboard.

Supplies:
  • Cardboard
  • Paper towel tubes for dolls under 10"
  • Wrapping paper tubes for dolls over 12"
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Scrapbook papers
  • Craft glue

Cut pickets on the top edges of each tube.

Draw your door and cut both the middle and top of the curve so the door stays intact, but is able to open. Now is a good time to cut pickets into your castle walls as well.

Cut two slits 2/3 from the bottom in each tube where your walls meet.

Slide the cardboard walls inside the slits and secure with hot glue.

Begin painting or covering your castle with stone print scrapbook papers, don't forget to paint windows in the turrets.

HTM - Fashion Doll Chairs

This will work for 11" fashion dolls.

Sketch the shape onto a paper towel tube, then cut it out. The chairs are about 4 inches tall, but you should size them according to your doll. Trace around the chair shape to make a template for all the other chairs.

Create disks out of cardboard for seats and hot glue them into the top opening. Cover extra cut  disks of board in fabric.

You may decide to paint the chairs or cover them in scrapbook or contact paper.

*Opening* Ever After High

I was excited to begin collecting this line of dolls because as with Monster High these are creative and very detailed. Only in a "pretty Princess" kind of way without playing the same looks over and over (like with Disney Princess dolls).

I was drawn to Apple White first then Briar Beauty.

 Then Madeline Hatter

I love Cupid and Ashlynn too!

I bought Apple White and her fainting couch!

And Briar Beauty!
(Mattel is getting A LOT of my money!)

And I took the online quiz LOL and found out if I was a ROYAL or REBEL!!!

You can take the quiz HERE

On the EVER AFTER website you can download activities and printables including these beautiful portrait cards!!!!!

HTM - Twin Bed for 12" Dolls

This will work for any 11" - 12" fashion doll.

First let's take a look at some of the ready made options. I have researched on ebay for vintage furniture. I love these vintage beds for the era of my dolls and older dolls.

Supplies:
  • Long thin treat box
  • Hot glue
  • Felt or fabric of choice

Directions:
  1. Cover your treat box in the fabric of choice.
  2. (Headboard) Using contact paper or felt/fabric, cover a piece of cardboard (same width as bed x as tall as you like).
  3. Hot glue the headboard onto the bed.
  4. Using left over fabric swatches, make bedding and stuff pillows with cotton balls.

Middie Furniture - Barbie, Blythe

In a previous POST I showed you how to make sofa, loveseat and chairs for your minis/ middies.

This was the loveseat I made for the Blythe house. Barbie or Monster High dolls can easily rest on this size middie furniture.

Here is another POST on parson style dining chairs.
