I never really did a video of my three LPS Blythe dolls. I have Prettiest in Pearls, Sightseeing Cutie, and Buckles & Bows.

They no longer sell these at Toys R Us, but you can find them on eBay.

LPS Blythe Doll House Tour

I was able to get smaller sized furniture for my LPS Blythe dolls. These dolls are 4" tall so the furniture must be smaller than AG mini size. The house is a work in progress (as are all of my doll houses). Still I wanted to give you a peek at my progress.

I made beds and moved in dressers.

I had to make a couch and will have to make a coffee table that is lower to the ground than the one pictured here.

The kitchen space is small I will have to make a skinny refrigerator facade. The table needs painted yet.

LPS Blythe Dolls Get a HOUSE!!

My LPS Blythe dolls needed a home, but I didn't want to make (another) doll house. I remembered seeing a vintage MARX dollhouse (early 1950s) at an antique shop here in town. I went to get it!

MARX HISTORY Children's play dollhouses from most of the 20th and 21st centuries are 1:18 or two third inch scale (where 1 foot is represented by 2/3 of an inch). Common brands include Lundby (Sweden), Renwal, Plasco, Marx, Petite Princess, and T. Cohn (all American) and Caroline's Home, Barton, Dol-Toi and Tri-ang (English). A few brands use 1:16 or 3/4"-scale.

This suburban dream house made of pressed tin rolled off the lines during the post-war housing boom.

Made by Marx, famous for their dollhouses, windup-toys, mechanical banks, etc., this house is decorated with the colors and designs preferred by the housewives and doll-players of the day.

This five room, two story house is in good collectible condition. Very, very little rust in this 1950's colonial. Marx #4018 Dimensions: 20" wide x 16" high x 8" deep

I will have to do slight modifications. The solider room isn't exactly Blythe's "style".

*Opening* New LPS Blythes

I love Blythe! She has a BIG head with equally LARGE eyes but there is something about her that I love. I have heard people say she is scary, creepy and alien like. To me she is just - well Blythe!

LPS Buckles and Bows

I bought Littlest PetShop Blythe dolls - hurray!!

Project Blythe

LPS Blythe
I wish that I could afford a custom Blythe! I can't - not at $400.
This is why I am so happy with both of my Factory Blythe dolls. I have had oodles of fun making clothes and shoes.

I know in the world of serious Blythe collectors, they dislike the clones. They pay several hundreds of dollars for custom dolls and by comparison, well there is no comparison to a Kenner NeoBlythe to that of a clone. In my little world a clone will have to do!

With several wig scalps my Blythe can have many looks.

But what about trying to customize a clone? It can be done!
My next BIG FAT PROJECT :
 PROJECT BLYTHE.

I am going to attempt to customize one of my Factory Blythe dolls. Stay tuned and wish me luck!!

Blythe - Neo, Middie and Petite

Blytheworld
Blythe was created in 1972 by designer Allison Katzman and sold by now-defunct toy company Kenner. In mid-1991, Hasbro purchased Tonka, which acquired Kenner Parker Toys, Inc. in 1987. Since then, all the intellectual properties were transferred to Hasbro.

In spring 2009, Alexander McQueen launched a fashion line for Target with an ad campaign featuring Blythe dolls.

There are three sizes of Blythe dolls: the original 11" (1:6 scale) full-sized dolls range in price from $60 (Ashton Drake) to $400 for the limited edition Takara NeoBlythes. Only full-sized dolls have color-changing eyes.

"Middie Blythe" looks slightly younger than a NeoBlythe and older than Petite Blythe. Her head is able to tilt left to right. With eye movement technology she can also look left or right enhancing her charming gaze!

The 4" Petite Blythe LPS from Takara are available at Toys R US and Target and are priced under $12.
