My Current AG Doll Collection

I get a lot of questions as to what my AG doll collection looks like now. I am down to one 18" AG and that is Molly. All of the other AG dolls found new homes.

In the mini doll world, I still have the 3-story yellow house. All of the other structures have been donated. There are three girls living in the house. Molly, Samantha and Josefina.

I have downsized significantly.

Will I be collecting again? Yes, always. I took a break from AG and currently my doll interests lie elsewhere. I'm a huge Disney fan, Princess Aurora is my favorite. I still love A Girl for All Time and Madame Alexander. There are plenty of online sources for AG reviews, and should I do future doll reviews, more than likely they will be from other doll companies. The internet is saturated with AG; so as not to be redundant, my focus will be on other doll brands I love.

LADL required a lot of my time and was my full time job. Due to other interests and pursuits, I will not be posting daily, but do hope you will stop by  Snickerdoodle Street and explore the latest doll news and events in 2019. The light is always on here in our little town.

Restored Bubble Cut Barbie + Boy Dolls Repaint

In a previous post I said I was sending my Bubble Cut Barbie to be restored. She had a terrible neck split on the right side and Mardie at VintageBarbieHeartwhisper.com helped this poor girl out!

The neck split was very bad! During the restoration process, Mardie kept me updated via email.

She cut off some of the neck post to prevent another split.

She cleaned her hair, gave her new earrings and a factory manicure/pedicure.

Because I was so pleased with the results, I sent both Ken and Allan for hair touch ups.

Allan needed a little more work.

His hair looks fabulous now, but he also got a touch up on his face paint.

Looking good boys!
Thanks Mardie!

My Moxie Teen Doll - Tristen

I bought this doll in 2011. I love her clothes and her face is so pretty with amazing eyes. She stands 14", has long black hair and is fully articulated.

I don't have any wigs for her.

All of her jewelry is gold.

Her hands are delicate, I love the articulated wrists.

I have never removed her glasses, they are secured on with elastic, but I have pulled them up so you can see her eyes.

Rubber boots.

I love Tristen. I keep her on a shelf for display.

I have three GOTY minis - Isabelle, Saige and my custom Nicki.

Saige was the first ever AG GOTY mini doll! She sold so well they continued with this year's Isabelle. I am looking forward to getting all of the GOTY minis as they are released.

I created Nicki using a Kirsten mini, and had to add freckles and sew her meet skirt.

I have upgraded her boots. Originally made from felt they are now more sturdy.

*Review* AG Minis VS Pleasant Company Minis - Differences

I love all of my mini dolls, but I am particularly fond of Molly. She is a 1995 Pleasant Company with acrylic eyes. She is the only PC mini doll I have.

In fact, Psst! Don't tell the others, but I am hoping to get more acrylic eyed minis.

In my doll scene posts Molly can look a little small next to the other dolls, but she makes up for it with personality! I wanted to discuss the distinct difference between the AG and PC minis.

First lets really look at the PC minis.

AG Mini Dolls

Side by side you can see the difference in my PC Molly and AG Emily. The skin tone is different, Molly's nose is thinner and of course Molly's eyes are acrylic with straight lashes while Emily's are painted on with feathered lashes. Also Molly is 6" tall and Emily is 6.5" tall.

The detail in the fingers are non existent on Emily!

Can you believe the differences???

My Mini Isabelle Collection

Since Isabelle joined my mini collections I've had a few custom dance costumes made by Auntie Robin and made a few myself.
