  1. I certainly hope that is NOT the 2014 50th Birthday special release. That's what AG released 20 years ago for Skipper's 30th Birthday. I have that porcelain blonde haired Skipper in the birthday outfit. I haven't seen a clue about what is planned for the big 5-oh at this point in time and would love to see any news.

    1. From what I understand this is a repeat of a "timeless Skipper". The designer said this is a low-budget (low cost) doll. I have added additional photos and a link.

  2. Boo for creativity on this one. I was so looking forward to something different. Skipper was my favorite girlhood doll. Low budget is fine, but the same old thing from the last birthday right down to the outfit? Can't come up with anything else? I don't even want a blonde Skipper, but I bought the porcelain one. I'm going to sit this one out. I wish they'd offer remakes of all of the original Skippers. I'd love to get the titian red haired one with thicker hair than what I have. BUying through Ebay, it's hard to guage things like that.

Thanks for sharing all of this, Rhonda.
