Found this Duchess doll thrifty shopping .50 cents
These small hard plastic travel dolls were popular collectibles since the 1940s and can still be purchased in
souvenir shops today. From the 1940 through the late 1950s, the Duchess Doll Corp. created a
myriad of small plastic dolls which featured sleep eyes with lashes
painted above the eyes, and with synthetic wigs glued to their head. These dolls were tiny fashion
dolls with clothing that was stapled on and shoes painted on their feet.
I remember my grandma had several of these dolls.
I have elected her as Mayor Of Liberty Towne because of her past experience and stoic expression. Welcome Madame Mayor!
Cute! Every town needs a mayor! :-)
