This is an unusual post for me. It touches on a sensitive subject about growing up and puberty. That being said let me introduce you to my vintage 1970 GROWING UP Skipper.
Between 1972 and 1976 there were 9 Skipper dolls released. "Growing up Skipper" caused a lot of complaints; newspapers all over the country wrote articles about her. She could actually grow breasts! If you turn her arm to the left you could watch her breasts grow and at the same time she grew 3/4 of an inch taller. Turn her arm back, and she returned to her original size. She started out only 9 inches tall rather than the standard 9 1/4 inches.
The first issue girl had longer light blonde hair, the 2nd issue had a shorter more golden color hair.
